Samir was our first real guest and he set the bar way higher than we expected. What stuck with us wasn't the CEO title, it was how normal the early part of his story sounded. He talked about learning the mortgage business by doing the tedious parts nobody wanted, and about how much of leadership is just being the person who returns calls and tells the truth when a deal is falling apart.
