Part two got into the mindset behind the grind. Kevin talked about outworking people not as a slogan but as a daily set of choices, like being the guy who already read the notes before the meeting. He also talked about staying kind on the way up, which he said matters more in a small industry where everyone remembers everything. As three brothers competing with each other constantly, the idea that outworking someone and rooting for them can coexist was a good reminder. We reference this episode more than almost any other.
