Reflections
What we actually thought about this one
Dr. Sahni came in with more energy than we knew what to do with. She talked about being one of very few women in interventional cardiology without making it the entire story, which we respected. She said being underestimated stopped bothering her once she got good enough that it stopped mattering, and that took years of proving it in rooms that weren't rooting for her. She also gave us the most practical map of the medical path we've heard, including the years where you have no life. Then she talked about mentoring the people coming up behind her like it's part of the job, not a bonus. That's the part we'll remember.
