Chirag showed us that the business side of sports is where a lot of the actual power is. Budgets, contracts, operations, the boring words that decide whether a season works. He made it interesting by connecting every spreadsheet to a moment fans care about, so the finance never felt abstract. We came in thinking a sports job meant player, coach or broadcaster. We left realizing that almost every industry has a backstage lane, and those lanes are usually less crowded. We watch games slightly differently now, which is a strange side effect of a podcast episode.
