Internal audit sounds like the most boring job on earth, and Ram basically agreed with that reputation before dismantling it. He described audit as the job where you get to ask any team in the company how they actually work and why, which is a strange amount of access for one role. The Pinterest angle made it more interesting because tech moves fast and audit is the thing slowing it down enough to not break. We came away thinking that the people who understand how a company really operates aren't always the ones with the flashy titles. They're the ones who read everything.
